Blocks Beyond the Stars

1. Verantwortlicher

Marcel Dütscher, Bresslauer Str. 20, 54295 Trier — E-Mail: info@blocksbeyondthestars.de

Privacy in short

This service is deliberately data-minimal: a self-chosen account name, a password hash (never the password), your worlds and your reports/feedback — no email, no real name, no ads, no tracking, no third-party embeds. IPs are held transiently for rate limiting and in routine server logs only. Hosting is in Germany; nothing is shared or sold. Short in-game NPC texts are generated by an LLM at OVHcloud (EU) — only the moment's game context (e.g. your in-world player name, the NPC and the situation) is sent, never account data or IPs, and built-in fallback texts take over if it is unavailable. Deleting your account (button on the worlds page) permanently removes the account, sessions, your reports and all your worlds including saves. For any privacy request, email the address above. The German text below is the authoritative version.

In-game bug reports (F1, F2 in the browser) and developer answers: a report you send from inside the game goes to our report inbox (a separate service, also hosted in Germany): the text you typed, technical game data (game version, platform, your in-world player name, position and game stats), a screenshot if you attach one, and an e-mail address only if you choose to enter one. The report also carries a reply key — a one-way hash derived from your game installation, never your account password or e-mail — so a developer's answer reaches exactly the game that sent the report. Answers and follow-up questions are shown inside the game; an answer you type there is stored with your report. These reports belong to your game installation, not to a portal account, so deleting the account does not remove them. They stay in the inbox, conversation included, until we delete them — there is no automatic expiry at the moment. To have them deleted, write to the address above and name the report title or the player name you used in the game.
